I live in Pennsylvania. My ex-husband has been fighting for a workman's comp settlement for the past 6 or 7 years. It looks like he finally might get it. Our son just turned 18 and is starting college in the fall. I did receive child support during the years (he wasn't a dead beat) but not even close to what I would have received if he would have continued working. Am I entitled to a portion of his workman's comp claim??

Probably not. Child support is supposed to be based upon potential income, not actual income, so your opportunity to raise this issue was back when the last child support order was made.
Move on with your life. |
