What is the procedure that a 15 year old would have to follow to file for an
emancipation. |

hey...what state are you u in? all you have to do is go to yahoo or another search engine & type in "emancipation laws for (ur state here)"...very simple. usually it just requires you feeling out petition paperwork to take your parents to court, the judge will listen to you, your parents, then make the decision. usually they'll let you do it if you're serious enough that you are willing to say you're no longer dependent on yourself. this will also allow you to work more hours, stay out when you want, etc. etc. bc the state will now accept you as an adult (usually the same things you're held accountable for at 18 yrs old). so then there are also legal issues; remember you WILL be held accountable for bills, etc as an adult. what is the reason for this? do you have documents to prove both of your parents are unfit? you have to have paper, paper, paper. do you live w/ both of your 'rents? they're not going to just grant you this JUST because you don't want to listen anymore. there has to be PLENTY of reason.
