Question When is a child considered to be a legaladult?

In the state of PA, when is a child considered to be a legaladult? At what age of the child are the parents no longer held accountable/responsible for the child? If a child is 17 yrs old when they graduate high school are they considered a legal adult in the state of PA? Thank you.

In Pennsylvania, emancipation is defined as lasting until age 18, or until the child graduates high school, whichever occurs later. Emancipation may be later for children with special needs. That determination is up to the Court.

More detailed explanation: Emancipation of Minors

The reference in the Pennsylvania legal code:
055 Pa. Code §*145.62.*Definitions.
