I live in Louisiana. My ex-husband has visitation with our son every other weekend and every other wed...My ex-husband tried to commit suicde just recently and is in the hospital. My question is, Where does his parental rights stand? If he is haveing so many personal problems, what are his rights to our son?

His rights remain intact and unchanged until modified by a court of law.

You can however deny visitation and ask the court for an emergency ruling.
The court will likely make a change given this situation. |

No, you cannot deny visitation until the court acts on your request.
