Confused Please help me understand

My husband was injured on a job nine months ago his employer has fought him all the way. His clam was granted just recently. My question is can child support take all his award if it goes to the attorney first or can they just take the monthly payments that are due?

Is there a back due amount?

They certainly cannot take future amounts owing.
