Question abandoment laws in mass

My sons bio. father has not seen him since aug. 4-2006.... he wrote a letter to him from jail in oct 2006 and since not a word he just had his wages garnished from dor in april 2008 he never paid before that.. i have a fiance of 2 years he is my sons daddy... he knows that he has a bio. sperm donor i say... but never wants to see him again... We lost my dad in 2005 right before xmas my son has adhd ,post traumatic stress,depression and i have had him in counseling since he was 4 the last 2 years he has had the same counselor.. he does great now that the bio. isnt here playing games etc. we have a great life and he has changed so much... this guy played head games before aug 2006 telling him he would take him to the mopvies and we would wait outside and he would never show and his excuse was i made him mad and this stuff happened all the time but theres been no phone calls no nothing since aug 2006 theres gotta be a law that protects my 7 year old who has come a long way and has a daddy! please give me any input you may have on this subject... u can email me for more info... snukums@mass.rr.com oh and i have full legal custody visits are up to me... he hasnt e=ven seen his bio. fathers face since 2006 i am just preparing if he brings it to court... i will not let my son get hurt theres gotta be laws to help me and my great family

You can try to keep visits limited or ask the bio dad if the child can be adopted...but short of that he will have some rights to see the child if he ever wants to do so.

which i believe is unfair my son has gone through alot of emotional crap because of this and he chose not to see or call my child in almost 2years ... he shouldnt be able to do as he pleases! also theres a restraing order on against him for me and my children

Our courts are concerned with what is legal, not what is fair. If you learn one thing about family court, learn that.
