Default Property Dispute

About 50 years ago, my father purchased some property and signed it over in
his fathers name to built a home on. His father promised to put the land
back into him name but died before he could. His mother also died before
she could sign the property back over. His older siblings know but for
somereason wont sign the property over. What can he do to regain ownership of the property.

Default Re: Property Dispute

Those agreements are supposed to be in writing.

He can try to make various equitable arguments and prove a case in court but the presumption starts very much against him...

Perhaps the family will settle for moral reasons as well.
