A member the family has just been expelled from school for allegedly groping another student. They are both 14. Supposedly she has been showing some dirty or naked photos of her self and letting other boys touch as well. We are still not sure of all the circumstances around it. According to both of them she let him feel her breast then told him to stop and he complied. This is issue number 1 The next issue is that this happened in March. The school called him in made him write and sign a statement, give a list of other boys and activities this girl has had contact with started and finished their investigation and decided to expell him before ever contacting his mother. His statement was written on March 22nd and she finally got the call yesterday saying to come pick him up that he was expelled. I am a fire fighter and I know that we have the FF bill of right to protect us from this type of questioning. Is there any type of thing for a school age child?? Does his mother have the right to request all the paper work and statements made towards him or by him?? I know the first part is going to be a he ssaid she said type of thing between them but the second seems like a definate violation of some rights. Im not sure if this matters or not but this happened in Orange County Florida Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! |

I don't know the laws in the states but here in Canada no child is to be questioned in regards to things like this without a parent or guardian present.

I live in Volusia County, Florida. My daughter is 8 years old and attends a public school. In her 2nd grade class, they were watching "The Science Guy" when one of the little boys yelled out, "Hey, that looks like my moms boob". Remember these kids are 7-8 years old. THe little boy, and my daughter who was sitting next to him, were both sent to the office. My daughter had to explain to the principle what the little boy blurted out...all without asking or calling me first. I was informed of the situation by the teacher when I went to have lunch with my daughter that day. I personally felt it was no big deal, but it seems that when it comes to any sexual communication or touch happens in the school system, they have their own rights to investigate. I would be questioning the 14 year old: 1 for doing it and the lack of respect he had for this girl, and 2 for not coming to his parents when all of this was happening.
