Unhappy 17 year old refuses to move

I have to move back to GA from OK and my 17 year old refuses to move with me. What can I do? He's stronger than me, I can't physically force him. What are my legal options?

Who does your 17 year old plan on living with if he doesn't go?

I don't think it's a matter of physical strength. I believe it's an emotional issue. How will your son feel about you if you force him to do something he doesn't want to do? I'm not sure about the laws in the states but I believe a child of 17 is old enough to make the decision on where they want to live, depending on the issue of where they will live and whether it's adequate and safe.

How do u think he will respond to you MAKING him do something? My parents did the same thing they MADE me move to missouri and as soon as i turned 17 i moved out now my parents relationship with my parents are "Hi i miss u bye" I regret leaving. If he wants to come he will just give it time!

Check with your local police--some depts will enforce your wishes until the child is 18...if need be.
