Pre Nup
Hello.
My fiance is asking me to sign a prenup; actually by the request of his parents. The thing is my fiances parents put a substantial amount of their money under my fiances name but he has no say to it until they die. His parents have total control over it until then. My fiance has been getting pressure from them to protect what rightfully belongs to their family. since its really the parents money, is a prenup valid? Is there another alternative to signing a prenup or another way for me to avoid geting involved in his parents finances? What if i don't legally take his last name when we wed; does that exclude me from having a say in their finances? I understand the pros about signing a prenup but my emotions are in the way. I didn't think our relationship would come down to this--money. Thank you. |

Much of that would happen by law anyway,
but if you must sign, have legal counsel review it with you first... |

World Law's lawyers could also probably intervene and help resolve this if need be. You may email them on the home page.
