Default F1 and Work permit!!!!!!!

Hi,
I am in F1 (student visa) status. I already applied for work permit, since I
am the RN, through my employer. My online case status says EAD card
production ordered. The registration deadline in my college is within next
few days. Can anyone suggest that I still need to maintain my student status at
present despite the fact that I am receiving my EAD card within one month?
Please respond me whether I should wait for my work permit or admit in college to maintain student status.

Thanks in advance.

I suggest trying to speak with the office at your college which assists students with visa issues.
