Default Residence Visa and divorce in China

I will soon be divorced in China and under the current Resident Visa Laws, my Resident Visa will expire May 2013,. Will my divorce affect the date on my Visa?

I wish to inform you that Residency visas (D, J-1, X, Z) help you get into China but you will need a residency permit to stay in the country. Even if the visa expires, as long as the residency permit is valid you may enter or leave China. The residency permit is to be procured within 30 days of entry into China. The residency permit is valid till the date stated on the permit or it is cancelled. It generally does not depend upon the marital status of the party.
