Hello,
I am under a J1 visa until oct. 1st (it would be 18 months then). I got married to a US Citizen a month and a half ago and I didn't file my green card application yet. We plan on going on our honeymoon outside of the US territory on the 1st week of september. Do you think I will be able to re-enter the US thanks to my visa status and then file the application? then it means I would have only 3 weeks left before my J1 expiration. Is that ok? Thanks a lot for your help!!! |

You had better clear the details with an immigration lawyer. That is not guaranteed. Your marital status and that short expiration date indeed may affect that re-entry.
