a sibling who was given power of attorney by mother, now deceased. elderly
father now living with my sibling. her husband is an abusive alcoholic and i fear for my 86 year old father. can i sue and get power of attorney and make sure my father is well cared for. he owns new home and land that could be sold to pay for his care. sibling will not even consider this and i think my dad\'s best interests are not being considered. i am afraid my sibling is holding on to his property waiting for his demise. he is not in the best health and this is not a good environment for a frail 86 year old. what action could i take to make sure my father is out of this situation and his assets that he worked so hard for are utilized for his care. please help me. God Bless. D.R. |

You can have a court void it yes if you can show and prove reasonable concern or reason that the person should not have that power at this point.
Gather up whatever proof you have...as you may need to show it. |
