Impaired in manitoba

yea i got charged for impaired over the weekend. I hit the ditch and was stuck out in the middle of nowhere and didnt know what to do so i ended up calling 911. they came and helped but then they ended up charging me for impaired. i was wondering if there was any way around it cause they never caught me in the act of driving i was just stuck in the ditch.
and another thing they made a mistake on the ticket, they put on the court date a date that already past by i was wondering if this would help me out in any way.

Hire a lawyer to help resolve. They know you were driving; you cannot get out of that part.

you may always claim that you opened a bottle after hitting the ditch while waiting for help. they would have to prove the alcohol was in your system prior to the vehicle being operable. there also may have been another person with you that was driving and went for help wink,wink, they can take the stand and admit their guilt and may not get charged since he is protected under the canada evidence act good luck ps if you made a statement that incriminates yourself take the best deal you can get early dont wait
