MIP in iowa
I recently got a minor in possession of alcohol. The police officer wrote down the wrong address that this occurred at. Does anyone know if I can fight this ticket since I can prove that I was not at the address cited on the ticket?

The court will often correct such errors. That will not be an absolute defense.

So in reading the other post - my daughter received an MIP - on the ticket
they put the wrong driver license number and date of birth - so the judge can just correct the information and she will still be charged? Your response would be appreciated - she has court date on the 29th. |

You can try to use that as a defense; it works sometimes but not often if everybody knows what is intended.
