Confused DUI I was in a accident. Manitoba

So I rolled a car, totally wasted. I was in intensive care for 2 weeks. They took my blood 4 hours after the accident, my liver was damaged as well. It's in Manitoba. Does 4 hours make a difference? my blood alki level? Do I have a chance fighting this?

...well that would only seem to help you...less alcohol at that point.

Yes I know that but it was still way over the legal limit when they took my blood. Is there a certain amount of time they have to take my blood and be able to use it against me in court?

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. It can only benefit you in court if they took your blood 4 hours later. If it was over the limit after 4 hours, imagine how high it would be if they tested it immediately.

If your liver was damaged, that's a good indication this wasn't your first time hitting the bottle or driving a vehicle.

Incidentally, no DUI is an accident. People know full well it is illegal and deadly to drive a car while intoxicated. Hopefully, the only person you injured in this accident was yourself.

You can fight it in court but you will lose.

Thumbs Up Re: DUI I was in a accident. Manitoba

It never made it to court, just a seat belt and imprudent driving tickets.
