EEK! charged with impaired

i have been charged with blowing over and impaired. I would like to plead not guilty to the impaired - what impact will this have on the other charge. They are asking for 30 days on the charges.

Why did you post this in a custody website?

You'll need to retain an attorney to have any hope of getting out of this from what I've seen (never been through it but friends have).

I'm a little confused myself as to why you posted here...

for future reference?

Here is the key; if you are impaired don't blow, obtain a lawyer and ask for a jury trail. You'll be without a licence for a year but for us legal drivers that's okay. Denial of blowing here is an automatic year off. If you blow and are over the legal limit you get (guess what?) a year off of driving... one stays on your record and the other does not.

if you aren't impaired then blow and no charge will follow.

If you blew over the limit expect your life to get pretty ugly.

and lastly, if you want real advice? Don't drive drunk.

p.s. not guilty really never works if you really were legally impaired. Attempt to make a deal with the prosecutor.
