Question Hardship license to drive in another state

Can you get a hardship from one state to drive in another state? My husband's license was revoked in Missouri. We have since moved to another state. He is eligible for a hardship and has been for some time. However, the MO DMV says that he has to work and live in MO to get a hardship. We have retained a lawyer in MO who says that he has never heard that. We looked through the statutes and could not find anything relevant to his case. We are paying the lawyer a lot of money. I'm afraid we are throwing away our money, especially if it is against the law to grant a hardship to someone who resides in another state. The police department here said that they would honor a hardship granted from another state.

The DMV usually has formal and informal hearings where you can request such things.

Call the DMV to discuss. And be persistent.
