illinois
i plead guilty in court on a dui in 2004. it was my forth dui conviction in illinois. as a condition of conditional discharge probation i was ordered to complete a dryroads program. january 1 1999 an illinois statue went into effect that said if you receive your forth dui conviction after jan 1 1999 you are ineligible to ever have your license reinstated. can the court force me to complete course? the course takes 5 months and costs aprox. 1000 dollers and requires i attend 2 AA mettings a week. the court is saying i have to go to jail if i do not comply.

Jail is true because you will be in contempt of court. I don't know if you had a lawyer or not but I'm guessing you didn't. If you signed on the dotted line in court saying that you will do this then you are on the hook.
