pending indictment
A friend of mine made a stupid, one time misktake. He was arrested on a class 4 felonie. When he went to court they told him it was a future indictment.
What does that mean? Do some people just never get indicted? |

Not sure what really happened there. Call the clerk of the court that was involved and ask what is the status of the case.
or the prosecutors office can also tell you/ |

For future reference, a future indictment usually means that is it pending a grand jury prior to filing the indictment. as you found out, this does mean an indictment is coming, it just has to wait for this panel to convene prior to the isuance of charges and trial.
