Possession of Drug Paraphernalia -- Iowa State University Campus
i was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia on the iowa state university campus. they showed up randomly. the pipe was sticking out of my pocket so they pulled it out and preceded to pat me down then arrested me. this is my first drug related offense
what are my options when going into court. should i plead guilty? should i pursue deferred judgement? will this stay on my permanent record? if so can it be expunged and how? |

I wish to inform you that for possession of drug paraphernalia there can be 30 days in jail and upto $625 fine. It is regarded as simple misdemeanor. In this regard you may seek deferred judgment or you may agree to charges or you may contest the charges. If you are held guilty then it may be shown on your record and then you will have to take court permission to seal record.
