Confused drugs affecting a job

I have a question regarding the law in respect to a job in caretaking. My question involvess a friend that works in taking care of a handicap man. She gets paid by Goodwill Industries to take care of him. She already has a felony E on her record, and got her probabtion officer to write a letter so she could get this job. Now she got caught taking his drugs for her habit. She got a Misdeamor with 1 yr probation out of it, and then other pending Narcotic charges. My question is - Is there a law that once you have been busted for drugs, whether a misdeamor or a felony; can you still keep your job taking care of a handicap man. She claims she has her job back, but how can that be, since she was busted with supplementing her habit with his drugs. Why would Goodwill let her keep her job, and also take care of other people as well. Isn't that like giving a job in a bar to a person who has been convicted of dui or a drunk for that matter? One more question. Once you had a probation officer, can you request to have that probation officer again; or do you get a different probation officer for different probation terms? Thanks for your help!

It would be very odd that she has that job back unless she is closely supervised, drug tested etc.

Would she be able to get the same probation officer from the last felony, or do they give a new probation officer for a new probation term? Thanks much!
