Confused Is there a time limit for the DA to pick up charges after an arrest?

I was wondering if there is a limit on how long after an arrest the DA can actually file drug charges on a person in California?

A friend told me 25 days when facing the same issue but I am just visiting here so call the DA's office and ask

Cal. Penal CodeS 853.6(e). Notably, "[t]he failure by the prosecutor to file the notice or formal complaint within 25 days of the time of the arrest shall not bar further prosecution of the misdemeanor charged in the notice to appear. However, any further prosecution shall be preceded by a new and separate citation or an arrest warrant."
