Marijuana Possesion with Speeding ticket (NY)

Cops pulled me over for going 16mph over speed limit. I got a ticket for the 16 over and also a second charge for marijuana possesion. Both of these charges make up my first offense in New York, so do i plead guilty to the marijuana and not guilty for the speeding ticket in hopes of getting it reduced?

Well you could certainly try that. But frankly I would suggest you get counsel to make sure this stays off your record and is negotiated down as much as possible.

I assume both charges occurred from the same event correct?
