Boyfriend arrested cause of marijuana plants. I need help, please!

Hi, I'm very worried about my boyfriend. He lives in Alaska.

Last week the police got him because he had marijuana plants in his house. I don't know how many plants he had. He only said, that he counts with 10.000 until 20.000 $ when he sells them... It's difficult for me to get informations because I live in Germany.

So I'm very worried about him and I wanted to know with which penalty he has to count...

I read that when he had less than 25 plants he only has to go to jail by up to 3 month or a fine of 1000 $. But when he had 25 or more plants he can get a penalty up to 5 years in prison... Is it possible to get a penalty on probation? It's the first time he did something like this...

And I don't understand when do they say it's cultivating? Because with cultivating he could get a penalty of 5 years when he had more than 1 oz? How do they differenciate this? When you have plants it's you cultivate the plants... So I don't understand the difference.

I hope somebody can help me because I'm so worried and I need to know what could happen to my boyfriend.

My boyfriend got a speed trail and he were out of the jail within one week. He gots probation and alot of community service. I'm very happy about this...

I hope he will use his second chance...
