Default Abusive ex harasssing me using courts

My ex has filed 137 court proceedings in the last four years. Is there any way to stop him? He always loses these proceedings, but I have lost financially and emotionally. The court ordered a PC last year, but this hasn't helped. He continues to file proceedings against me.

This is just the tip of the iceberg as he texts and calls me despite a court order prohibiting contact and being found in contempt for ignoring the order. He punctures my tires regularly. I'm also aware of three other women being harassed by him, so it's not just me that he does this to.

Put all those 137 in a folder and file for abuse of process.

Show the judge what has happening over the longer term. Ask to have your ex fined and ordered to stop filing without court the court first reviewing.

You may or may not prevail but it will send a message to your ex.

It's astounding how lax the law is in this country that would allow an obviously mentally disturbed individual to abuse the court system in such a rapist way.

I agree with the last poster. File for abuse of process. When you do this, ask the court to order him to be psychologically evaluated, and bring a motion for an order to show cause.

Also, I hope you are calling the police each time he contacts you. If there is a protective order against him, it's the law's DUTY to arrest him for violation of it. He SHOULD be being arrested for that.

Get him on tape puncturing your tires. Knowing who is doing it and proving it are two separate things. Take this evidence with you to court.

Yours is a prime example of why people take justice into their own hands. The police and the courts are often incompetent in correctly dealing with these matters and only once there has been a tragedy do people start arm chair warrioring about how it could have been avoided.

137 in 4 years. That is an average of 34 filings per year. Roughly 3 filings per month. That is a little extreme. It's too bad the U.S. didn't adopt some of the Bahamian court system and punish those morons who excessively use it to harass a person they are upset with. It's a form of stalking and harassment. Courts don't seem to comprehend this too well.

The judge can fine or punish a person for frivolous filings under the law of all 50 states.

They just do not do it often. But it does occur.
