Default Untruthful statement to obtain protective order

My son is in a custody battle. He wqas never married to the mother of his child. She is desperate and trying anything she can to keep him from gaining custody. My son's ex-stepmom has now filed a protctive order claiming my ex-husband and myself have threatened her with bodily harm. She did this in conjunction with the custody suit. She has no place in the custody suit except as a witness. I have never made a threat to her. Without having a relationship can she file the protective order against me? And how do I handle the false accusation to obtain the protective order?

The judge will throw it out if she has no evidence; attend the hearing on the order.

I have found out that the reason the protective order was filed was to influence the judge to make a determination on the custody before all the testimony was completed. It worked. The judge made her determination ad the protective order was dropped.
