ex charged for threatening harm to 5 yr old child

North Bay Ontario CANADA ..on august 1 i received call from police to go to my ex bf's residence to pick up my 5 yr old due to my ex being placed under arrest for 1.threatening bodily harm to my daughter 2.assault on officer 3. obstruction during arrest .. he was recently released on bail but under condition he can not contact my daughter or see her in any way /form . now i have been told by a child protective services worker to go to courthouse to get our custody agreement changed ( ex had primary care ) to me having custody because he cant see her now but to allow my ex bf visits with his daughter when i say .. nwo why if he is being charged for threatening my 5 yr old child should he be allowed to see her in future even if visitations ?

You don't have to allow those visits--ask that they be forbidden or that he sees her only when supervised.

Maybe after he has counseling etc. you all could re-visit the issue.
