Some Protection

Two weeks ago I applied for an order of protection against my partner. Since then we have been able to talk about a lot of things with out alcohol being involved and with out anger. The order says we are not allowed to have contact and they are not allowed to abuse, harrass, stalk, threaten me at an time. I was fine with that because I REALLY did feel like i wanted him out of my life. I know now that I probably did it out of anger at the time.I still feel that it is in my best interest to keep the order of protection because for the first time, he now sees there are consequences for his actions. Hes suggested that we go to counceling and hasnt had alcohol. Will i be allowed ammend the order to have contact but have an order of protection in case any of that other things happen? Although I love him and may still feel like we can work this out, dont I still have the right not to be abused?
