Pedophile father and visitation

I have 4 children by my ex husband. He is currently in jail on 4 counts of child molestation and 1 count of incest against 3 of his nephews and our oldest son. He currently has visitation supervised with his parents. However, while we were seperated and ex was not in jail, they(his parents) did not follow the visitation orders and allowed the children to go with the ex unsupervised.

What I am asking is...what are my rights on visitation and my ex if he is convicted for the child molestation? Do I have to allow visitation to him? If so, how do I go about making supervised visit by a court appointed person?

Also, I have full custody of all the children.

YOU NEED TO FILE A PETITION TO FAMILY COURT FOR CONTEMPT. Have your eldest son sign a statement & have it noterized (get an attorney if poss) and go to court for his contempt on following the visitation order. They should have NO problem getting a court appointed official to do supervision. Also whyin the hell are you allowing them to see him anyway? YOU SHOULD"VE STOPPED THIS A LONG TIME AGO!! HE IS A PEDIFILE! GET THEM AWAY FROM HIM. SCREW HIM. THAT'S DISGUSTING. PERIOD.

You people are so oblivious. You obviously have no idea what this system is like. The courts don't care what people have done and are doing to their children. The world is black and white to them. Child need mother And father. These judges are like little ****ing automatons running around claiming to be acting in the best interest of the children but their idea of best interest only truly works in a normal family setting. In their eyes pedophiles have rights too. It is sick and extremely screwed up but it is the way that it is. So before judging her try taking a closer look at the ****ed up system that demands she place her children in a home with a pedophile and the people that created him.

If the mother denied the visits she would be arrested and be in contempt of court and the kids would STILL go to visit the father.

hi there this is a reply to the first message about your ex and him being a pedophile, i just wanted to say you cannot blame yourself for what has happened the child needs you to be stong however hard, do not take any notice of the swines that say its your found he was you husband and pedophiles groom children. and as long as your child says he does not want to vist then he will not have to go, he is in the wrong not you, keep stong for the child and yourself and water off a ducks back to all the people who do not understand, at least the truth has be found out nw.

The mother would not be arrested but the father could file a motion to enforce.

If he's proven to be a pedophile, that will usually convince a judge to disallow him from being unsupervised with his children.

I would go to children's protection services. My ex was being investigated for molesting one of my children and filed to have me arrested for denying visitation (it was court ordered before I found out he had molested my child). I was unofficially advised by the police to deny visitation. When he tried to have me arrested, the state stepped in and took legal custody - then he only had supervised visits by children's protection services. He went to jail and eventually I terminated his parental rights. Hope it all turns out well. And for you people giving her grief over the visitation - court orders are what they are. If I hadn't gone to the state for help, I would have been in jail and he would have had my kids.

Isn't it incredible how family court laws work? Miss a child payment and lose every license you possess, including occupational (contradiction in terms). Molest a child and you not only get to keep all of your licenses, but you get to continue with visitation, allowing access and opportunity for more sexual abuse.
