Confused such a mess

I really need some advice. I had planned to move into an apartment with my then boyfriend. I decided to back out of it as I began to see signs of aggression coming from him. My name is on the lease, but i have not lived there in over 1month. He has since been asking me for money everyday as he has not worked in over 2years. Over the weekend, I went to check on the property and saw that he now has another female living there. He will not move out and was literrally pushing and shoving me out of the house. He has been trying to extort money from me. He refuses to work and I am only assuming that this new woman is paying all bills, except for the rent which is not paid. To make matters worse, I believe i have a warrant out for my arrest in a seperate state. He is threatening to call the police on me if I do not give him money to pay his rent, car payment, car insurance, gym membership and his own attorney fees. I feel so stuck and desperately need some solid advice of what I should do. He will not stop calling and i plan on filing a stay away order, however am worried if he has any leverage in calling anyone to arrest me.

That is illegal to ask for money and threaten to call...it is blackmail and extortion, let him know that.

You may want to sue him in small claims for the rent payments otherwise you are going to have to pay or break the lease, neither of which may be great options.

wow. really are you listening to him? screw him. go to court, get a restraining order (which may not happen unless you have proof he's abusive & dangerous). DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT. EVERYTHING. phone calls, take pictures of your arms (bruises, etc...) legs, etc.
it is blackmail. it's illegal. sue him. fix whatever warrent you have for yourself. fix it during this. you can do it all at once. if you dont face your future/problem you can't fix this one either.

If you are the sole person on the lease, you can have him removed simply by bringing in the police. He has no legal capacity to be there. If he is also on lease, you need to get to the landlord for one and a courtroom. If you have to, could notify police you are on your way over there and let them pull up as he is physically removing you from a property on which you lease. As for the out of state warrant, I would suggest you find out what it's for and why it exists. Most people don't have warrants unless they did something to get one. Obviously he's a moron, but you can't let all of this build and build, the longer it all goes on the worse it is for you and he knows that.
