Default TradeKey scam

Yes, I rank here with the rest of you as being a person who should have known better than to trust TradeKey.com

I am an accountant and my family have been importers of product for 52 years and still I got caught!

I was scammed earlier this month for USD $472 buying from E-Enterprises (HK) Co. LTD who is rated as a Gold Key member. Kanby Chun is the purchasing officer and the money was SENT TO: Zheng Qing (first name) Li (last name)

I sent my original enquiries by email through the TradeKey facility. I have been advised that despite this being a 'reputable' organisation, emails can somehow mysteriously end up in the hands of scammers who reply with an email address that is not recognised by the business. This is all too convenient.

It appears there is no fool proof way to make sure you are not dealing with a scammer. Even if you thought he was legitimate and he supplied the correct goods the first time he could just be luring you in to trust him. Then sting you for a much larger amount next time.

My scammer wasn't too clever at all. I could have been done for a much larger amount as this was my initial order for samples.

I am dubious that Tradekey is even legitimate.

My observation of TradeKey is that:

1.Businesses have a different Website name compared to their Tradekey name.
2. Products listed are different on the Website.
3.Very few if any accept credit card where you can reject the charge. They all want payment by Bank transfer and Western Union. Once money is sent its non reversable.
4.TradeKey sites become unlisted so you cant contact them, then reappear several weeks later
5. Very few list a business certificate and even if they did its not verified. When I registered I was able to put anything in that box.
6. Try ringing the phone numbers listed...no answer.
7. The TRUST point system is a joke they are not earned. You can buy these points and get extra points by posting comments in the community forum.
8. Community forum doesnt list any negative comments.

There is no tracking these scammers and they know it because they use hotmail addresses and there is no trace. $100 in China is more than one week's wage so to them its worth any risk.

What they dont realise is ...'What goes around comes around'. Their day will come.
