Default China Business Network TV

PCCW's now TV today heralded the Hong Kong debut of China Business Network (CBN), mainland China's professional source of financial information, with a signing ceremony in Shanghai. CBN will be available exclusively on now TV (channel 338) starting April 9, 2008. The addition of CBN will further enrich the existing financial news lineup of now TV.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shanghai Media Group, CBN is the only mainland China multi-media service provider offering authoritative financial information in real time to Chinese investors around the world. The channel provides 12 hours of live programming each day.

PCCW's Managing Director, Television & Content, Dominic Leung, said: "We are very excited about the exclusive launch of CBN on now TV. The demand for financial information in Hong Kong is always high, and the H and A Share markets are intimately connected. First-hand information on the economy and capital market

Default Apple to target Asia

Apple to target Asia

Apple is to start selling the iPhone in Asia this year, as the group said that it would move ten million of the handsets by the end of this year. The group was coy about revealing when it would market the device in China, the largest mobile market in the world. Wall Street has been sceptical that the company would achieve its sales target in the face of a slowing American economy.
