It's all about divorce..please reply!
Hi,
Before I got married to my active-duty husband, I've already been here in Japan for family purposes. In case I file a divorce, is it still possible that I restore my family visa, even though i've already have it cut to the immigration? Another thing is, how and where do I file a divorce? We also have a little daughter, and I was wondering if once we get divorced, am I going to get full child custody? I don't want my daughter apart from me because I do not trust anybody else to take care of her but me, my husband doesn't know how to take care of her either because he just yells at her when she's doing some things. And I don't want my daughter to be raised with some kind of people like that. The only reason why i'm together with him right now, is because I don't know if in case we get a divorce, i'm going to still have or lose my daughter and I wouldn't want that to happen at all. I'd prefer my daughter to be with me. One more question, my daughter is already American Citizen, is there any possibility that we can both live in states even without my husband? I am not american citizen, nor do i have visa for america, yet. I am just a military dependent. So I was wondering, if I use my daughter's american citizenship, would I be able to get a visa so we could live together in the US? Thanks. |

You can divorce where you or your spouse reside and it will be valid in most if not all countries.
It is valid without doubt in both the US and Japan |
