Im 38 years old.I have my own children but my family meaning my brothers and father is making life so hard .I wish to wipe the slate and divorce my family name.I want nothing to do with my father and my brothers and want then to stay away from me.My question is:how do I go about doing that to divorce my name and make a new name for myself.

Go to your local courthouse and ask the clerk where you can find the forms for a name change. You can legally change your name, but it will most likely involve your spouse changing thier name also, and if you and your childrens' other parent agree, you can also change thier names.

That's all you can do, you cannot "divorce" family, you can change your name and refuse to ever see your family again, but that's it.
