Red Face Different States

My 'wife' lives in Florida (where we got married) and I live in California...how can I file for divorce or where should I file for divorce?? We both want this...

If you both have lived in your respective states for at least 6 months, either of you can file in your state of legal residence.

I'm not familiar with CA laws, but what little I do know is that CA has some rather strange family laws.

However, I'm very familiar with FL law, and an uncontested divorce can be done very easily in FL. It might be better for your wife to file in FL because it is easier. Either way, it won't hurt to get a consult with an attorney in either state.
