Default break-up

I recently ended a relationship with my girlfriend, to go back to my wife and kids. no legal separation with the wife, no files for divorce. My girlfriend and i were in a relationship for 1 1/2 years in secret. for the last 2 months of the relationship i moved out of my house and we rented a room from a friend and "moved in" together. I just found out that my girlfriend is pregnant. now she's threatening everything from sueing me for leading her on, leaving her, taking advantage of her, to child support. I am very willing to do my part. to pay medical bills for the baby. but here's the kicker, shes claiming she cant work due to the pregnancy, and also due to severe emotional distress that ive caused her by breaking up with her. she wants me to pay therapy bills for her emotional disturbance, rent bc she cant work, and all her bills. im just trying to figure out where i stand legally, can she really sue me for these things?

First and foremost- DO NOT pay anything until a court orders you to. ( Begin now to put some money into a savings account that can be used to pay any retro support that might be ordered).

Second, DO NOT sign anything or verbally acknowledge paternity. When the baby is born, you can file to establish paternity by requesting a court ordered DNA test. You should also file at the same time for a custody/visistation order and a CS order.

Third, ignore her threats. Although once the baby is born and paternity is established she can get a CS order, it's extremely doubtful that a court would order you to pay her therapy bills.

Just wait until the baby is born and then file what you need to. In the mean time, you should get a consult with a family law attorney just so that you have all your ducks in a row.
