Husband is threatening to cut off our AC, water and internet access

In an obviously deteriorating relationship, my husband is threatening to cut off our AC and internet access....he would put a governor on it so that only he can access the controls. Is this legal?

If you both live in the household and have equal access to everything, then yes, what he is threatening to do is perfectly legal. He is not your LL, so you don't have tenants rights to demand these things. As for internet access, just because you don't have it at home doesn't mean you can't get it somewhere else.

If things are this bad, why have you not moved out on your own yet and filed for divorce?

Why not go ahead and file for divorce, an order for him to move out, for interim support if that is appropriate and end his tyranny and your worries.

I assume that when you say "obviously deteriorating" you mean you are heading for divorce, so why not just move forward with it and put Simon Legree out of the house and your hair.
