Default Bigamy in Texas

Bigamy in texas...A man marries one woman in 2002. Same man marries another woman in 2004. He divorces the first wife in 2007. After he divorces the first wife is the second marriage legal? In the second marriage would they have to get an anulment then remarry or just renew wedding vows?

Normally no but Texas also has some statute that allows the marriage to date back to the divorce:

[In some states (e.g., Texas) your marriage would become valid automatically as soon as your spouse's divorce became final. In some other states, it wouldn't. A brief consultation with a local attorney will let you know how the law applies to your particular situation]
