Default Order to Show Cause Granted. What can i do now?

My wifes lawyer hit me up with an order to show cause for Pendente Lite Relief.
We had gone to see the judge but my wife didnt serve me properly at that time so we never saw the judge.
We had a new appearance before the judge to be on august 22nd. I thought at that time we were to discuss everything.
Well, today i received papers from the judge granting her order.
My question is, what can i do right now to stop this.
Everything they say on it is wrong and i really thought we were going to discusss it when we saw the judge.....

Ask the judge to explain. Some where you had a major disconnect?
The judge may reconsider if you can explain why you did not know what was going on.

I have a smiliar issue. My wife was given pendente lite relief and we had a show cause hearing for contempt of court aginst me. My wife was awarded Maint and childsupport. They were based on previous tax returns whuich showed that I made a certain amount of money for those years. My salary has declined since then and I am unable to pay the full amount every month. My child support is paid up. But my maint. is behind. That is why I have the contempt charge. I have filed bankruptcy and so has my wife. I was told by my lawyer that the judge could not proceed while under BK protection. The judge did anyway and gave me 30 days to pay the back maint. charges or she will put me in jail for contempt. My lawyer say he will get the transcripts and file an appeal. What are my chances of getting an appeal in most cases? Any feedback will be appreciated.

The judge often can still enforce maintenance. Ask for a motion to reconsider perhaps and give every last piece of evidence you can about your financial position.
