my husband and I have been separated for about 7 years. We had decided to get a dissolution when we first split up, but then he left town and i did not know his location. He's back now, and he believes we can no longer get a dissolution because it's been too long....that there is a 5 year time limit on dissolutions in Ohio. I cannot find anything to back this up, not even in the dissolution handbook. I have a feeling he is just trying to cause problems. Can anyone please tell me if there is in fact a time limit between separation and actual dissolution filing date? Thanks.

You should be able to still do it. Call your family court clerk to see if they can help direct you.
