Confused Inheritance and trusts in common property state

I am still married but am concerned a couple years from now that they way things are going, I'll want to divorse around the same time my mother passes away. Her assets are in 3 trusts all wrapped up a living trust, of which I am co-trustee. There is other property and assets outside of the trust too. These assets have been passed down through our family. When the trust and assets come to me on her death, is my wife automatically entitled to 50% of all this? How can I protect these assets?

No, but you should make sure you have an estates lawyer review the documents and planning with you, and do so asap to protect your assets.
