Default What do I do?

I live in California and have filed for divorce. My husband was served in September in Clifornia. He immediately went to Texas (we use to live there) and filed for divorce there. He is trying to pretend that he does not live in CA so that he fight the jurisdiction issue. I was just served a pettition for a Texas divorce (well actually I am out of town and my father was served at my house -Is that okay?). The papers say that I am supposed to appear in court in 4 days. I cannot imagine how I could make that happen. I have two children, no childcare, and no texas lawyer. What happens if I don't show up? Can I file something right now that postpones the court appearance? Please help me ASAP! I am terrified of getting in trouble, or comprimising custody of my two girls. Thank you.

Show Texas that you already filed--your proceeding takes precedence.
