Confused Did not understand meaning about divorce grounds...

Arkansas- In Arkansas , and I hope I am quoting this right, one example of grounds for divorce can be being seperated for 18 months and it goes on to say that it is an absolute decree? Does that mean 18 months from the time he left, which is soon, that we will be divorced? What if he did I read that at least 10 times and still did not get the meaning until now. Hind site says I should have already been to a lawyer but my husband is the one that wanted the divorce, not me.( Of course there were things that needed worked on if he decided to come back.) I might need to mention that we have a grown child living outside the home. That and I also fell completely apart because of some of the things he has done that hurt me really bad, not physically.
I have been foolish and I know this now but I kept trying to give him a chance to change his mind and actions. I also did not want a big battle and end up with nothing at the end from a marriage of 30 years and a good business I helped him start.
I am sorry this is so wordy and I am leaving out alot. I have tried not to be so bitter about the cheating, mentally and emotional abuse. I don't like playing dirty either but I do have pictures he left out on the table of him and another woman not being very nice and it would do alot of harm to his public image if these were to be seen by anybody else. He was not always that way. He changed over nite about 3 years ago-I feel like the man I married died and is replaced by this man he is now.
Do I get a chance to get all the things he promised me now or is that it and we are divorced and he can continue to hog all of the assets while I am living on very little. Thank you and I am sorry I sound like a brainless idiot. Just been hard.....

It means 18 months after you have been living separately the court will give you a no-fault divorce.
