Divorce from spouse in another country
My friend was an Uzbek citizen. She was married in Uzbekistan and moved to the US about 6 years ago. Her husband stayed there. She is now a US citizen and wants to divorce him and get remarried in the US to another man. How does she file for divorce?

She can file where she now resides and must serve documents on her husband.
It is not terribly complicated but can be a bit bureaucratic. |
