Hi there. I am Canadian and my husband is English. We met and married in Thailand 1.5 years ago and now live in Malaysia. We are splitting up and are wondering if we even need to officially divorce.
We did not register our marriage in either Canada or England. We have the official paperwork from Thailand saying that we got married, but never provided it to our respective embassies. We're going our separate ways. If there is no record of our marriage in either of our countries of citizenship, do we need to worry about obtaining a divorce?? Thanks in advance! |
