Default Re: do I need a lawyer?

A lawyer for what? File for divorce. The grounds used primarily are irreconcilable differences. The courts are uninterested in tying up their time with adultery cases, especially if there is nothing between the two to split, such as lots of money, kids, property. In fact, many judges won't even hear them.

You can find do it yourself divorce kits online, at your local bookstore and even your local library. It's inexpensive, and relatively quick if you don't have possessions to bicker over, as you have mentioned you don't.
