My (soon-to-be) ex-husband lives in Virginia, while I live in Texas. He filed for divorce in VA and mailed the filed bill of complaint, along with a Waiver of Notice. There is no way I can travel all the way to VA for the divorce hearing, and I have no problems with the Bill of Complaint. However, my fear is if I waive notice of future proceedings, he will submit a divorce decree that does not match the complaint. Can he do this? Or does the decree have to match up to the Complaint?
