I filed for divorce in ky and a few days laterbi receive a notice of deficiency. It stated "jurisdictional proof not filed of record (affidvit, deposition, or interrogatories stating 180 days residence , 60 days residence and irretrievable breakdown of marriage.)". I don't understand what I need to do

Normally it means you have not been married and living in that jurisdiction long enough to file for divorce, which is silly, of course, because people can get divorced anywhere, any time they choose. Perhaps a formal separation?

Or perhaps that you did not file docs and prove you reside there --
That happened in my husband's first attempt to divorce his ex. Same kind of language. |
